Berlusconi, and morale

A curious thing in the recent wave of communication and agitation around the known facts Berlusconi (here I refer to allegations related to Ruby, and various social gatherings, gay, orgies or dinners that were, in vila Arcore) is that it is presented in form of moralism. Led by the usual priest, (sorry, I missed: the masterly review of the Vatican) all those who have a dislike Berlusconi unleashed to say that the dignity of the state is outraged, and ultimately a man of over seventy should stop going with minors, and in fact could not make a bit 'like Napolitano or Ciampi, who ran behind his own wife?

I recall that the issue of contention is, or at least should be if there was or there was no sex with minors (and prostitution). I should also mention that in Italy, prostitution is legal.

But the tenor of the discussion threads into the sexuality of Berlusconi. It gives me deep trouble, as it should be for anyone who is a lover of personal freedom. It's none of our , if a man or a woman, twenty or one hundred and ten years, political or baker decides to copulate with whoever he wants within the laws. They are not made Vatican if said another way, Berlusconi decided (hypothetically) to negotiate and ninety one hundred and ten transgender Bari Egyptian dancers, age of course. The sex lives of our leaders, as well as that of our bakers, it is not our business. It embraces the private sphere.
I do not think that the sexual life of the prime minister (or any) should be an example to the country. When I will have the age of Berlusconi, I will have the freedom to choose whether to invest my savings in a collection of pipes or roots in Reggio gay prostitutes. It will be my business and my family if anything, certainly not of others!

Trouble me much, much more the sixteen other processes, including the Mills deal still going and the two ended with a conviction for perjury and false accounting (amnesty) and still finished with the other requirements and extenuating circumstances (see summary here in ten lies ). And even older stories, and contiguity with the likes of Dell'Utri and Previti. That means that the creeps, but the girls dressed as nurses and Emilio true faith and other characters from the play. Berlusconi's worst behaviors are probably those who do not have an offense.

In short, the wave moralism, Catholic and non-right-and left disgusts me. And be careful: it begins by criticizing the elderly whoremongers, and tomorrow, with the approval of the Church, you find yourself picking on homosexuals and adulterers. And it is disgusting that in Italy there should continue to dance to the music of the Vatican. Ruby is in trouble for Berlusconi as Al Capone who goes to prison for tax evasion .

It remains only to admission of a Machiavellian: I think that Berlusconi and its a disaster for Italy, such an international embarrassment that I would see it pay well for any stupid, by the oath in a public outrage the flag of the fee evasion RAI. Frankly, just to get rid of it, anything goes. The only trouble is that we will have to put up forty postberlusconiani that will be even worse than postcraxiani. And who will try to dedicate streets, roads and universities.
